AZORES - Flores
The story of L'Art itinérant began in Flores. I walked there for hours in search of a place to sit and paint. It healed me from the treatment of cancer, and opened a way to a rich life. I met the locals through painting. It was a lovely way to get to know t this warm people, while hitchhiking. We started to chat, and this brought me also a lot of joy.
I painted this serie when I spent 6 months to recover. It was my therapy and a nice way to better know the island. I made postcard that are sold in Flores.

In the 7 months I spent in Flores, I had a need to walk a lot. It became a ritual to look for a place to photograph the sunset after a climb. The silence enveloped me in awe. The walk helped me to clear my mind - still confused by the chemotherapies - ,go within and find peace for my restless soul.
